Exercise KAZIND - 21

Why in News? 

The India – Kazakhstan joint military exercise KAZIND-21 started at Training Node Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan. This is the 5th Edition of Annual bilateral joint exercise of both Armies and will continue till 10th of September. The fourth edition of the exercise was held at Pithoragarh, India in September 2019.

What is KAZIND?

KAZIND is a joint military exercise between India and Kazakhstan. It is held annually to boost the bilateral relation between India and Kazakhstan Armies. The exercise is also a platform for the Armed forces of India and Kazakhstan to train for Counter Insurgency / Counterterrorism operations in the mountainous, rural areas.

About KAZIND - 21

¤ This is the 5th edition of the annual bilateral joint exercise of the armies of India and Kazakhstan.
¤ KAZIND-21 is taking place at Training Node Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan. 
¤ The contingent comprises 120 troops from Kazakhstan and 90 Soldiers from Indian Army (Bihar regiment). 
¤ 4th edition of the KAZIND-2019 was held between India and Kazakhstan in Uttarakhand in 2019.
