India In Tokyo Olympics 2021 :-

Total 127 Indian athletes Men and Women are in Tokyo Olympic Games from India in various games. Out of that many 62 are male and 52 participants are female candidates who will be in Tokyo Olympics across 18 sporting events .

A total of 127 athletes, including two alternative players and one reserve goalkeeper in men's and women's hockey squads respectively, across 18 sporting categories will be part of India's Olympic contingent for the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics slated in July - August. The total size of the contingent, including the coaches, support staff and officials, counts to 228.

India till now won 7 medals in Tokyo Olympics 2021. Including one gold, two silver and 4 bronze in medal tally for Republic of India. Where India got 47th rank in Tokyo Olympics medals ranking. 

Achievements of India In Tokyo Olympics 2021:-

1.Gold


Neeraj Chopra won Gold in the Men's Javelin Throw final to win Independent India's first medal in Athletics. Neeraj Chopra's Gold is also India's second ever individual Gold medal at the Olympics, after Abhinav Bindra in Shooting.

2.Silver

a) Ravi Kumar dahiya won Silver medal in 57 KG category of free style wrestling. 
b) Mirabai Chanu won Silver medal in 49 KG category of Weight Lifting

3.Bronze

a) PV Sindhu won Bronze in Women's Single Badminton
b) Lovlina Borgohain won Bronze in Women's Welterweight Boxing
c) Indian Hockey Team won Bronze in Field Hockey
d) Bajarang Punia won Bronze in 65 KG category Wresting
